Best Space, Nimble Driver

The RAM Promaster is the most nimble driver of the big Vans; many owners claim it drives like a minivan. Great windshield and field of vision; the large heated two panel mirrors are excellent as is the back up camera. Best turning radius. Peppiest large van out there. Lowest floor height and widest body makes it great for conversions. Front wheel drive gives excellent traction and handling on solid surfaces, alleviates driveshaft through the center and lowers floor. Low center of gravity makes for less sway and rocking than other large vans. I love the upright driving position, though some dont. Widest doors, best price. - 4.0

This van is used in an expediting capacity and meets or exceeds our expectations. Used 95% of the time over the highway we have averaged 17.5 MPG. It does very well when fully loaded, acceleration is somewhat lacking however. Biggest negative is the downshifting while cruising downhill. This is our second Promaster with the 3rd vehicle now on order. - 1.0
Do not get this diesel van

I would it to start out by saying I love driving this van when it is running. Since I have purchased this van it has been to multiple dealers for service in 3 states. All issues are related to the diesel engine (Turbo Charger and DEF emissions system). This van has been into the shop 11 times in 2 years. I also know 2 other owners that have diesels one a 2014 and one 2016, both have had similar unreliability issues. In the 2016 one authorized service dealer replaced the engine and there were still issues. I will now try to have this van serviced by none dealer service centers as the warranty has just expired. FCA has been unresponsive to any request I have made to resolve these issues. I can only hope that this review will make someone think twice about purchasing a diesel promaster van.
