The Ram 1500 gets a significant mid-cycle update for the 2025 model year, including a refreshed exterior and a pair of twin-turbocharged I6 powerplant options. Performance
Ram 1500 Tradesman and Big Horn trims continue to draw power from the standard 3.6-liter V6, sending 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque to the wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission. It's well-suited to everyday light-duty jobs, offering a max trailer rating of 7,750 pounds.
The automaker's new Hurricane engine (a 3.0-liter twin-turbo I6) joins the Ram 1500 as an option for the first two trims and standard in higher tiers. The standard version makes 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque, while Limited, Longhorn, and Tungsten models get a "High Output" variant that boosts those numbers to 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque.
